The Hyperion Armor RF2/Level III+ Plate comes in an Olive Drab (OD) Polyurethane coating, not only contributing to its aesthetic appeal but also to its durability. Despite its robust build and high protection level, this standalone body armor keeps a thin profile and light weight of ~4.63 lbs. (2.10 Kg), ensuring comfortable wear and easy mobility.
This cost-effective, hard armor solution measures 10.00" W x 12.00" H (25.40 cm x 30.48 cm) with a thickness of approximately 1.10" (27.95 mm). It features a shooters cut and a 2D curve shape for optimal functionality and fit.
Hyperion Armor cutting-edge ballistic materials include Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), SiO2 Ceramic, and a Max Alpha Polyurethane coating. These materials work synergistically to provide an armor plate capable of defeating 5.56x45mm NATO 62 Grain M855, 7.62x51 mm NATO 149 Grain M80, 5.56x45mm NATO 55 Grain M193, and 7.62x39mm MSC rounds.
Furthermore, the Hyperion Armor RF2/Level III+ Plate takes safety a step further with a Back Face Deformation (BFD) of less than 1.73 in. (44.00 mm), further minimizing the potential impact on the user.
